Through the convergence of advanced science and technology, information communication technology (ICT) and Internet of Things (IoT)-based industries, our School of Electrical Engineering is cultivating leaders to lead the future intelligent electronic electrical fields.

ICT is growing by being integrated into various fields such as safety, security, transportation, medical care, education, national defense, manufacturing, smartphones, and smart cars as well as electronic electrical systems. Our School of Electrical Engineering teaches the fields of electronic engineering (semiconductor, circuit design, SoC), communication engineering (information communication, multimedia signal processing), and system engineering (electronic electrical HW/SW system, computer HW/SW system, electrical energy) and participates in Industry-education research projects to focus on cultivating creative field-specific professionals who will lead the industry.

It was selected as the second best university in the country among 91 universities in the field of ICT in the evaluation of the Korean Council for University Education in 2000, and was selected as the Creative Korea-II in 2014. It operates excellent educational programs and educational environment improvement programs such as curriculum development, scholarships, advanced lecture rooms/laboratories, Industry-education cooperation, club activation, and learning assistance (*SEED). It was also rated as an 'Upper' in The JoongAng's assessment of science and engineering departments, which was conducted in 2017 across 70 major universities in Korea.

Our electronic engineering department will contribute to society based on Hanyang University's founding spirit of "practice of love" and will strive to cultivate talented people who can play a role in industrial development with the goal of practical learning. Thank you.
